The Artist's Blueprint (A/B)

Open Access Charter

Public Rights and Contract Infrastructure for Creators

Purpose: The Artist’s Blueprint exists to give creators practical rights and contract literacy, so they can make informed decisions, protect long-term intellectual property, and build sustainable careers with real sovereignty. A/B treats music as an operating system: rights are assets, contracts are incentives, and career outcomes compound through structure, not hope.

What A/B Is: A/B is an Open Access public library of:

  • rights and ownership explainers

  • contract mechanics and clause literacy

  • royalty and recoupment economics

  • negotiation standards and deal hygiene

  • templates, checklists, and operating frameworks

It is designed to be used as reference infrastructure, not consumed as content.

Open Access Commitment: A/B is Open Access by design. Core materials are available without paywalls, including:

  • the books and manuals

  • templates and checklists

  • rights maps and diagrams

  • the library documentation

Open Access is permanent. This work is published as Open Access and maintained as a public reference library.

No Upsell Principle: A/B does not operate as a guru business model. A/B will not sell:

  • courses

  • cohorts

  • consulting

  • paid inner circles

  • paid proximity to the author

  • exclusive access to “truth”

A/B exists to reduce dependence, not create it.

Scope & Boundaries: A/B provides education and practical frameworks. It does not provide:

  • legal advice

  • contract review services

  • personalised deal negotiation

  • representation or disputes support

When appropriate, A/B routes users to responsible professional support pathways, including how to prepare deal packs and how to select qualified counsel.

Editorial Standards: A/B is built on clarity and verifiable mechanics. All materials are:

  • structured

  • versioned

  • updated when necessary

  • corrected when required

Where jurisdictional differences matter, A/B will state this explicitly.

Stewardship & Continuity: A/B is designed to outlive its founder. It will be governed as infrastructure:

  • maintained over time

  • protected from extraction incentives

  • upgraded through versioned releases

  • structured for non-founder stewardship

A/B may ultimately be transferred into an educational foundation supported by an endowment, with governance guardrails and editorial independence.

Disclaimer: A/B is educational information only. It is not legal advice. Contract outcomes depend on jurisdiction and specific drafting. Use this material to strengthen your understanding and prepare questions for qualified counsel.
